Two teefers!

Good morning! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm having a great day. For one thing, I got 11 hours of sleep last night, which is more than mommy and daddy EVER get these days. Plus, last Monday I got my second toofer! It's the bottom right front one, right next to the first one. I think I might have some more coming in up top, but for now I still have to nom my food from the bottom. Don't bother looking for pictures of my toofers, though. I don't like to show them off though mommy keeps trying to take pictures. The only time you see them is when I'm eating.

I think I might be learning to crawl finally. I don't really get up on my knees, but I kick my feet a lot. When that doesn't work, I can at least spin around on my belly so I can face the doggies or the kitty, and when I really want to get closer to something, I push my arm out to the side to move forward. It's like Nemo says, "Just keep swimming!" Besides, I'd rather just stand up and walk. I can't stand up by myself yet, but I'm getting there. You can see pictures of me standing by the boxes of books in the library, and yesterday I pulled myself up on the coffee table.

Mommy got me a truck last week. I can sit on it and steer, but my legs are too short to drive it. It makes noises and is supposed to pick up my toys if I run over them. I think I'll see if that works on the doggie so she can't run away from me. Mommy took lots of pictures and daddy put them in the 8-10 month album.

Daddy took me rollerblading Friday in the jogging stroller. It was nice outside and I got to meet two neighborhood dogs. Oh yeah, there was a man & woman walking with them, too, but who cares? We live in a nice neighborhood and mommy gets to take me around the park every Saturday morning with the other recruits at Baby Boot Camp. We have a lot of fun watching our mommies run around the park. Still not talking English yet, except for "yeah yeah yeah," but I click my tongue a lot.

In a few days we get to go visit Grandma Candi in California. I'll probably sleep most of the way, but maybe I'll get to see more doggies this week. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

I'm getting old!

Tomorrow I'll be nine months old. It seems like years since I first got here, but I guess it really isn't. Lots has happened lately, though. Mommy dressed me in an orange basketball outfit, then took pictures of me sitting with pumpkins. How embarrassing! Halloween was last week, and mommy put me in a deputy outfit and she & daddy took turns taking me to houses in the neighborhood. They started singing some song about "Yeah yeah yeah" so I sang it with them. They laugh when I do that. I didn't get to eat any of the candy because I didn't have any teeth yet, so I gave it all to mommy & daddy. I think it's gone now.

Speaking of teeth, I has one now! It finally broke through Wednesday night on daddy's finger, but mommy saw it first Thursday morning. Now I can start eating chicken instead of those icky peas and squash. Boy, I'm glad that toofer is here, cuz it hurt coming in!

I'm still exercising. I like to lie on my back and when mommy hands me my ball (it's about as big as my head) I hold it in both hands, then use my feet to hold it, too. Then I let go with my hands and start rolling it around with just my feet. Daddy thinks I'll be an acrobat someday... or a soccer player.

Also, I started rolling again. Two months ago I was rolling front to back, but Wednesday I started rolling back to front, mainly so I could reach over and try to play with the doggie. It was MUCH harder. I also started waving hello, but I haven't got that goodbye part down yet.

Finally, I'm staying up later at night now. All the good TV shows come on after my usual bedtime, so lately I've been awake until 9 or 10. At least that way I can sleep later in the morning, and that way mommy & daddy aren't as cranky when they wake up.
