First kiss

Today I kissed daddy for the first time. You see, mommy gets up with me every morning, and sometimes we do Baby Boot Camp, and other times we hang out at the house in the mornings. I go shopping with mommy, go on errands, and we get to spend all the quality time together all day. Then in the evening, daddy comes home! He says the best part of his day is when I first see him and smile. I think mommy's jealous, or maybe she's just tired because I'm a little terror all day long. Either way, daddy gets to hold me for a while, at least until I eat and (sometimes) fall asleep, then daddy puts me to bed and the whole thing starts all over.

Well, tonight daddy was playing with me and he kept kissing me, so I decided to kiss him back - right on the lips. Mommy thought it was very cute, but I didn't know what the big deal was, so I didn't do it again.

I've also started getting too big for my pack n play, so mommy & daddy had to take the little basket out of it. Now it's a real playpen. Before it was about a foot high, but lately I've been pulling myself up on the sides, so they're worried I might climb out and fall over. Now I sit in the bottom, and since the sides are like a screen, I can see the puppies and kitty! I sit in there while mommy eats, but usually she lets me sit on her lap while she types on the computer. If you look in the 6-8 month album, there's a picture of me typing on mommy's laptop!

Finally, as of yesterday I'm 8 months old. I weigh almost 19 pounds, but I'm getting longer instead of heavier. A lot of the clothes I've been wearing don't fit anymore, but luckily everybody gave us a lot of bigger clothes. It's also getting cooler outside, so the long pants and jackets we have are going to come in handy!
