Exercising!

So I've started exercising since my belly's getting nice and round. Daddy says I weigh almost 19 pounds, but I can still fit into 3-6 mo clothes (bet YOU can't, Daddy!).

The way it works is, every night mommy & daddy put me to sleep on my belly. I wake up at night sometimes and do my favorite trick: rolling onto my back. The bad side is that I usually get my arm stuck between the bars of my little prison cell. The good side is that daddy usually gets up and either rolls me over again, or if I'm awake he picks me up until I'm asleep again.

Anyway, if I don't make too much noise, mommy & daddy don't notice I've rolled over. And then the fun begins. I start doing leg lifts! It's really cute because I'm in my PJs, but I raise both feet straight up in the air (try that, too, Daddy!). Then I slowly lower them together until my heels hit the bed, and I raise them again! I do this until someone comes to get me. What's really weird is that I'm asleep the whole time, so I don't even know what I'm doing; I just wake up tired the next morning. Mommy & dady watched me do this for almost twenty minutes one night. I guess they think it's funny.

In other news mommy got the results from the cat scan last week. Still don't know what Jasmine has to do with it, but apparently my head is just fine. Speaking of Jasmine, I now (finally) weigh more than both the cat and Tori. Still got a while to go before I catch up to Maggie though. In case you've never been to our house, Maggie's the big puppy I get to ride sometimes and Tori's the smaller, older doggie. Jasmine's just a big fat cat. I like pulling on their hair, though, so they generally leave me alone when I'm on the floor.

HI Jordan!!

It's your cousin Gina!! You haven't met me yet but you will one day. I just wanted to say that i love these little updates that you post every now and again, they are very insightful. I'm glad that you are a happy baby!!
It's good that you are having more tummy time!! Did you know that tummy time is a great way for baby to not only build muscles that help baby learn to control neck movements and learn to turn over, crawl, and sit up, but also helps to develop the shape of baby's spine!! Tummy time helps give baby the natural curve to the spine that helps with all muscle movements.
Did you also know that your spine is a very important part of your body that effects every part of your body? Even as a baby you can see a Chiropractor to make sure that everything is moving and working like it should. The trauma of birth can be very hard on a baby and a Chiropractor can be very useful. A Chiropractor can begin seeing and adjusting a baby as soon as the baby is born!! That's pretty neat, huh?! Cranialsacral therapy is a great non-invasive tool that insures that the spine is moving correctly and focuses on the spine and the skull. I thought that was very interesting.
You may wonder why i know this stuff. Well, i work at a Chiropractic Office here in Alexandria, VA where i love and my employers like to educate their staff on the many techniques of Chiropractic. I think that Chiropractic is a great tool to help build and maintain a healthy lifestyle and is an excellant wellness technique. A strong spine means ease of movement, less pain, and better adjustment (especially while growing)!
Keep up with the updates!! I hope to hear from you soon!

Gina
